Sport Bursaries in association with
Queen’s Sport Bursary Awards are available to current students who have achieved a high standard in their particular sport. The scheme offers recipients a comprehensive package including sports science support, free use of facilities, free gear and financial assistance for the costs of training at such a high level. These awards are designed to give top sporting individuals the best opportunity to develop their talent during their time at the University.
Applicants are expected to be competing at provincial, national and international level and will have a proven track record at junior and senior level. Recipients will contribute to the Queen's Club in a playing or coaching capacity and will use the bursary to maximise their sporting career during their time at the University.
Who is eligible?
Any registered full-time student at Queen’s University can apply for the award. If you have a proven record of achievement in your chosen sport and want to represent the University at that sport, you are eligible to apply. Competition for the awards is very high, and many applicants have reached top international representation at their sport. The application deadline is in October each year.
