The Student Law Society
The Student Law Society is a very active body within the School of Law. It publishes an impressive student magazine The Verdict and arranges numerous social functions throughout the year. The social calendar includes nights out, a magical mystery tour and a formal dance, giving you the opportunity to meet your classmates and lecturers in a more relaxed environment. The Society plays an important part in welcoming new students to the School through the Buddy scheme for First Years. All new students will be assigned to a second or final year student who can help ease them into the School of Law and help them with the huge transition to university life.
The Law Society enjoys good relations with major legal firms in the UK and Ireland. Along with the Careers office it welcomes them to Queen's at various times throughout the year to give presentations and provide as much information as possible for Law students prior to graduation.
