Chemical Engineering

Chemical Engineering

Chemical engineering gives you the skills to add value to materials for the benefit of society. These skills allow you to solve a variety of problems which relate to the design, development, and implementation of processes which create the things we use every day. This includes the production of clean water, renewable energy, medicines, food, polymers and so much more.

Chemical engineering is key to finding the answers to global issues, making the world a healthier, cleaner, and more enjoyable place to be.

Chemical engineering is what allows us to deliver things at a massive scale, and without it, we wouldn’t have many of the resources that we take for granted – chemical engineering is what allows us to take new drugs from the lab bench to millions of patients across the globe, to put cleaner fuels in planes, trains, and cars, and to generate energy without any fuel at all. As a chemical engineer, you’ll be able to enter into a wide range of exciting, fast-paced industrial areas, and the skills you’ll gain during your study at Queen’s will allow you to play a key role in answering those “big” questions, improving many aspects of our everyday lives.
