Showcasing Enterprise Support at Queen’s

The event brought together several teams from the Enterprise Department, each with a unique offering to support researchers on their innovation journey:

• QUBIS+ introduced The Ideation Society, our new community designed to spark creativity, foster entrepreneurial thinking, and support early-stage ideas. The team also discussed commercialisation pathways and introduced key contacts who can assist researchers in exploring how their work could have commercial impact.

• Business Alliance provided an overview of upcoming funding opportunities and highlighted the hands-on support available to help researchers identify, apply for, and make the most of these resources. Whether you're looking to fund a proof-of-concept, pilot collaboration, or a full-scale project, the team is here to guide and support.

• KTP (Knowledge Transfer Partnerships) shared how academic-industry collaborations can bring research to life in powerful, practical ways. Through KTPs, researchers can work with external partners to apply their expertise in real-world contexts — creating meaningful impact and valuable career development opportunities.
