Dr Cheryl Lawther

Dr Lawther is an expert on issues relating to victims and survivors and the legacy of Northern Ireland conflict.
Dr Lawther has significant experience in working on a range of issues relating to the Northern Ireland conflict – dealing with the legacy of the past by way of truth and justice, reparations/the pension scheme provided by the Victims’ Payments Board, and issues pertaining to victims and survivors – particularly on the construction and politicisation of victimhood.
She is also interested in and has published on the use of contentious conflict related sites as places of tourism and sites of often contested memorialisation.
