Her research focuses on healthcare management, healthcare quality management and healthcare systems .

Most of her research has explored the organizational dynamics associated with the implementation of quality and patient safety innovations, including i) the translation of healthcare research evidence into practice, ii) the role of intra and interorganizational formal and informal networks in the design, development and implementation of innovations and iii) how the different dimensions of place (physical, social, and symbolic environments) impact on quality and patient safety initiatives.
