Professor Dillenburger is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst-Doctoral (BCBA-D) and clinical Psychologist (HCPC). Her expertise lies in ABA, parenting, autism, and mental health.
Professor Dillenburger is a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst-Doctoral (BCBA-D) and clinical Psychologist (HCPC) and has worked extensively in child care, education, and therapeutic settings.
She is Professor of Behaviour Analysis and Education and Director of the Centre for Behaviour Analysis at the School of Social Science, Education and Social Work, where she also co-ordinates the MSc in Autism Spectrum Disorders, and supervises many ABA-focused doctoral students.
Her research focuses on the application of behaviour analysis including evidence-based intervention for vulnerable children, such as those diagnosed with autism. Her expertise lies in ABA, parent education, parenting across the lifespan as well as mental health and other clinical psychology issues. She frequently is invited to teach or deliver international keynote addresses in USA, India, Europe, and Australia.
Professor Dillenburger has been involved in a range of research regarding evidence-based practice, most notably in clinical psychology, parent training, child sex abuse, child protection, behavioural social work, and child behaviour management. My most sustained input into the literature in the field has been in relation to early behavioural interventions, social validity, and parent training in autism.
At the Centre for Behaviour Analysis researchers are interested to contribute behavioural advice with regards to dealing with emotional and behavioural stress, isolation, loneliness, overcrowding, cabin fever, activity for kids while schools are closed, behavioural safety etc
