The Leverhulme Interdisciplinary Network on Algorithmic Solutions is a interdisciplinary postgraduate programme at Queen's University Belfast. PhD projects will focus on topics related to the implications of massive-scale data processing, artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) for both the actual operation of algorithmically driven public decision-making in wider society, and within science and engineering.
Applicants should have a good honours degree (normally at least a 2.1 or equivalent in a relevant subject - which will include physics, maths, computer engineering as well as law, social science and the humanities - preferably also a Masters qualification, and a strong commitment to interdisciplinary approaches.
