The Senator George J. Mitchell Institute for Global Peace, Security and Justice invites you to the Inaugural Senator George J. Mitchell Peace Lecture.
The speaker for the first annual lecture will be Mary Robinson, former President of Ireland and UN Commissioner for Human Rights. Serving from 1990-1997, Mary Robinson was the seventh, and first female President of Ireland. She was the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights from 1997-2002. With a commitment to empowering the poor and marginalised, Mary Robinson works to secure global justice for vulnerable people across the world.
The Institute will host a reception in the Riddel Hall Lecture Rooms 2 and 3 from 5.00pm. The Lecture will take place in the Isdell Courtyard at 5.45pm.
