In memory of the Holocaust and subsequent genocides, Belfast City Council in partnership with the Mitchell Institute for Global Peace, Justice and Security at Queen’s University, would like invite you to a workshop delivered by Professor James Waller, Cohen Professor of Holocaust and Genocide Studies at Keen State College in New Hampshire.
Drawing on face-to-face interviews with over 225 perpetrators of genocide and mass atrocity, this event will explore the process by which ordinary people become capable of committing such extraordinary evil.
Professor Waller will present on the ordinary origins of perpetrators of genocide and the processes which make these killers capable of such atrocities.
His presentation will highlight how understanding these processes can be vital to resolving current conflicts as well as preventing the future occurrence of genocide.
