Mitchell Institute Hosts Professor Michael Kenny on Fractured Union
The Mitchell Institute was delighted to welcome University of Cambridge academic Professor Michael Kenny, to participate in an 'In Conversation' about his book Fractured Union: Politics, Sovereignty and the Fight to Save the UK. In a well-attended and lively session, Professor Kenny discussed themes around the fluid politics of the UK, including reflections on English national identity, Brexit, the 2014 Scottish Referendum, Northern Irish politics, and possible political futures for these islands.

Professor Michael Kenny
Michael Kenny is Professor of Public Policy, and inaugural Director of the Bennett Institute for Public Policy, at the University of Cambridge. He has written extensively on national identity, territorial politics and governance, and is the author of a prizewinning study of the impact of English nationalism on British politics.
