Deposit Terms and Conditions
1.1 Due to high demand, applications may not be considered if the course has reached its maximum class size.
1.2 You will be required to pay a deposit of £400 (Home/EU students) or £1’000 (International students) to secure your place on the course.
1.3 This condition of offer is in addition to any academic or English language requirements.
1.4 If you do not pay the required deposit by the date specified in your offer letter, then your application will be withdrawn. However, in some instances, it may be possible to make a late deposit payment. Please contact askmhls@qub.ac.uk if you would like to reinstate your application so that we can confirm availability on your course.
1.5 If you are planning to fund the total cost of your studies through a Postgraduate study loan, you will still be required to pay a deposit to guarantee your place. This deposit will be deducted from your tuition fees when you enrol and commence the programme.
1.6 Information on Queen's policy for deposits and refunds realting to Domestic and International offer-holders who have not yet fully registered at the University can be found using this link
1.7 Deposits can only be transferred in cases where the applicant fails to meet the academic or English language requirements of one course but wishes to transfer to another course in the faculty, where they do meet the entry requirements, subject to a place being available. Please contact the Faculty Student Recruitment Hub (askmhls@qub.ac.uk) to discuss your options.
1.8 Applicants who have secured funding for the full tuition fee amount from e.g. employer or government sponsorship (excluding Postgraduate Tuition Fee Loans) will not be required to pay the tuition fee deposit provided that satisfactory evidence of the award of funding is made available to the University in advance of the applicable tuition fee deposit deadline.
Please note: Places are not guaranteed until you pay your deposit and places are given out to those who pay their deposit first. We have a strict capacity on certain PGT programmes. As soon as we receive the required number of deposits, we may have to close to applications.
Applicants who are required to pay a deposit as a formal condition of their offer, or in advance of receiving a CAS, should pay by Flywire. Further information and payment can be completed using this link.
If you have met all the course entry requirements and you have received an unconditional offer of a place to study on a postgraduate taught degree, you should note that we require applicants to pay a minimum total deposit* of between £2,500 and £6,000 towards their tuition fees, before a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) for visa/immigration purposes can be issued. Details of the exact amount required will be communicated to each applicant following the issue of an offer. More information can be found on the following link
