No separate application for this scholarship is required. If you are holding an offer for an eligible programme and meet the criteria as set out in these terms & conditions, you will automatically be awarded an International Undergraduate Taught Scholarship upon enrolment.

Queen's Business School Postgraduate Taught Programmes will not be considered for this scholarship.

The Queen’s Family Scholarship is exclusively available to new international students entering Queen's University Belfast in the academic year 2025/26. To be eligible for the Queen’s Family Scholarship students must hold an offer of a place on a programme at the Queen’s University Belfast campus, starting in the academic year 2025/26 and prior to commencement of study have met any academic and language conditions attached to their offer as stated in their offer letter.


Four scholarships offering a 50% reduction on full tuition fees are available to exceptionally talented international students paying international tuition fee rates and who will be starting their full-time undergraduate studies on an eligible programme at Queen’s University Belfast in the academic year 2025/26.

This award is exclusively for new international students beginning their first year of full-time study on the graduate entry LLB Law (Senior Status) accelerated qualifying law degree at Queen's University Belfast in the academic year 2025/26 who meet the conditions of their academic offer.

 


This merit-based award is exclusive to International Students who commenced a full-time undergraduate programme at the Queen’s University Belfast campus in September 2024 or September 2025.

Exclusions apply. 

Eligible students who achieve a 60% GPA in the academic year 2024/25 will be awarded a merit-based award of £3000 in the subsequent academic year (unless on placement, whereby the award will be made the following year). 

Students who maintain a minimum GPA of 60% may receive this award in consecutive years. 


A £1500 reduction in tuition fees is available to new international students beginning a full-time course in the academic year 2025/26 who hold an unconditional offer and pay their net tuition fees by the following deadlines:

UNDERGRADUATE unconditional offer holders 31 July 2025

POSTGRADUATE TAUGHT unconditional offer holders 31 August 2025. 

POSTGRADUATE RESEARCH unconditional offer holders before the start date given in their offer letter.


Scholarships of £6000 available exclusively for outstanding international applicants from Latin America who choose to study postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Business School.

 

 


Scholarships of £6000 available exclusively for outstanding international applicants from Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Islamic Republic of Iran, Israel, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Liberia, Libya, Morocco Oman, Palestinian Territories, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Serbia, Syrian Arab Republic, United Arab Emirates or Yemen who choose to study postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Business School.

 

 


Scholarships of £6000 available exclusively for outstanding international applicants from Angola, Botswana, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gambia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mauritius, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Swaziland, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia or Zimbabwe who choose to study postgraduate taught programmes at Queen’s Business School.

New international students with unconditional offers for the academic year 2025/26 may receive the INTO Progressors Scholarship which awards a tuition fee discount of £1500 when paying their tuition fees in full* by the deadline.

This award is available to students from the USA and Canada who will be starting a full-time undergraduate degree at Queen’s University Belfast. The award is for high achieving students who can also demonstrate a commitment to leadership within their local or global community.

There are up to 20 full PhD scholarships available for candidates starting their studies in the subsequent academic year. Applicants currently in the first year of a PhD programme at Queen's in the current academic year may also apply, if they meet the eligibility requirements (including academic criteria and English language).

This award has been created in memory of the late Norman Houston, friend of Queen’s and former Director of the Northern Ireland Bureau in the USA.

During his tenure leading the diplomatic mission to North America, Mr Houston was a universally respected and admired diplomat. He was also a strong supporter and advocate of Queen’s, supporting a wide range of youth development and leadership programmes. It is a great honour for the University to remember Norman Houston through the establishment of ‘The Norman Houston- Study Northern Ireland Award’.

1 award will be provided each academic year to provide a full tuition-fee and accommodation waiver for an exceptional visiting (Study Abroad) student from the USA.

This award is exclusively for students who are a current student or who have studied at a secondary level school in Pakistan.

Eligible candidates are required to submit an essay of up to 750 words explaining why they want to study at Queen's University Belfast and how this programme will help them fulfil their career aspirations.  Additionally applicants must also provide a letter from their school confirming their predicted grades.

This award is exclusively for applicants who are currently studying or have studied at one of the GEMS schools listed below and have achieved one of the following the following: 

  • Standard Indian XII Higher(CBSE, CISCE) 85%
  • Three A levels A,A,B
  • IB 34 over all with higher level (6, 6, 5)  
  • USA High School Diploma with CGPA 3.2/4.0 AND 3 AP tests with scores 5,5,4
  • £7,500 reduction in tuition fees for the first year of study

  • Three A levels A,A,B     

OR

  • Senior Secondary Graduation Diploma with at least five Bs in acceptable grade 12 courses and 75 - 80% overall.
