For International Postgraduate Taught Students

At Queen’s, we are committed to welcoming students from all over the world and helping them achieve their ambitions. That’s why, we offer prestigious, competitive scholarships, and regional awards to new international students.

If eligible, you could receive a £1000 Accommodation Award to be used during your year of study here in Queen’s Accommodation.

CHECK YOUR ELIGIBILITY

  • China and Hong Kong
    • Students must reside in China Mainland, Hong Kong (SAR) or Macau (SAR) paying the full international tuition fee rate and joining the University in the academic year 2024/25.
    • Students must hold an offer to study a Postgraduate taught programme for entry in September 2024.

  • Latin America
    • Students must reside in Latin America paying the full international tuition fee rate and joining the University in the academic year 2024/25.
    • Students must hold an offer to study a Postgraduate taught programme for entry in September 2024.

  • Middle East and North Africa

    • Students must reside in the Middle East or North Africa paying the full international tuition fee rate and joining the University in the academic year 2024/25.

  • North America
    • Students must reside in USA or Canada paying the full international tuition fee rate and joining the University in the academic year 2024/25.

  • Pakistan
    • Students must reside in Pakistan paying the full international tuition fee rate and joining the University in the academic year 2024/25.
    • Students must enrol onto a STEM related course in the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Science or in the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences at Queen’s University Belfast.
    • Students must hold an offer to study a Postgraduate taught programme for entry in September 2024.

  • South Asia
    • Students must reside in South Asia paying the full international tuition fee rate and joining the University in the academic year 2024/25.
    • Students must enrol onto a Postgraduate Taught programme in Queen’s Business School
    • Students must hold an offer to study a Postgraduate taught programme for entry in September 2024.

  • SEA and East Asia
    • Students must reside in South East Asia paying the full international tuition fee rate and joining the University in the academic year 2024/25.
    • Students must hold an offer to study a Postgraduate taught programme for entry in September 2024.
    • Students must have paid their deposit (£2,500) by 31 July 2024. See payment of deposit terms and conditions.
    • Only 35 awards for SEA and East Asia are available to be allocated on first come, first served basis. Eligible students will be notified through email within 14 working days after completion of the form to check eligibility.

  • Sub-Saharan Africa
    • Students must reside in Sub-Saharan Africa paying the full international tuition fee rate and joining the University in the academic year 2024/25.
    • Students must hold an offer to study a Postgraduate taught programme for entry in September 2024.

  • Terms and Conditions
    • Students must hold an offer to study a Postgraduate taught programme for entry in September 2024.
    • The award can only be used in Queen’s accommodation and is not available for third party or private accommodation providers.
    • The award is exclusively for new international
    • Students must be classified as international fee-paying students paying the full international tuition fee rate in order to be considered for this discount. Students paying NI or GB fees are not eligible.
    • Students must hold an offer for a place on a full-time postgraduate taught programme at the Queen’s University Belfast campus, starting in the academic year 2024/25 and prior to commencement of study have met any academic and language conditions attached to their offer as stated in their offer letter.
    • The scholarship cannot be used in lieu of any required deposit and no cash alternative is available.
    • If you wish to defer your entry to the University your award will not be transferred.
    • Students must be self-funded.
    • If you exit on a lower qualification (i.e., a PG Diploma instead of a Master's degree), you will not be eligible for the full scholarship.
    • Applicants may apply and/or be considered for more than one award administered by Queen’s University Belfast but if successful would receive the Higher of the awards with the lower value award cancelled or allocated to another applicant
    • The University reserves the right to vary all or any awards, discounts and regulations at its sole discretion.
