Queen’s hosts Thanksgiving lunch for US Staff and Students
This year, the North America team at Queen’s hosted a Thanksgiving lunch for U.S. students and staff.
The event took place in the Great Hall at Queen’s, where over 150 guests enjoyed a festive meal, live music, and a delicious selection of traditional American pies from the Pie Queen.
Professor Margaret Topping opened the event, and U.S. Consul General James Applegate delivered a message of Thanksgiving. Fulbright scholar Emily Woodruff and NU In student Inaaya Omer also shared reflections on the meaning of the holiday as students and staff enjoyed pumpkin pie during the lunch.
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, guests donated to The People's Kitchen, a Belfast-based charity that provides vital support to individuals experiencing homelessness and addiction in the city.
