The Northern Bridge Consortium at QUB is served by two Co-Academic Directors and an Administrator.
In addition to acting as Co-Academic Director of the Northern Bridge Consortium DTP at QUB, Professor Thérèse Murphy's work focuses on human rights law and practice. She is particularly interested in health and human rights, including the right to science and the relationship between new technologies and human rights. From 2022-2024, Thérèse is the Raoul Wallenberg Visiting Chair in Human Rights and Humanitarian Law and Conjoint Professor at the Faculty of Law at Lund University.
In addition to being Co-Academic Director of the Northern Bridge DTP, Fran Brearton is Professor of English in the School of Arts, English and Languages. Fran's research interests are primarily in British and Irish Poetry of the 20th and 21st centuries, and in the literature and culture of the First World War, literary modernism, and war writing throughout the 20th century.
Naomi Harland is the Administrator for the NINE and Northern Bridge DTP's as well as PGR Officer for the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.
