AHSS Global Fellowship Scheme

The scheme is open to academics at any career stage and in any discipline aligned with a host School, and complements schemes offered by our Research Centres and Institutes.

The AHSS Global Fellowship will cover visits for a period of between 4 to 12 weeks*.  Applications are now open for a visit in the Spring Semester of the 2024-25 academic year. Applicants must have secured the agreement of sponsorship from the host School and will be expected to deliver a lecture/seminar/workshop during their stay.  Fellows will be granted a courtesy desk in the host School and access to library resources.  In addition, the scheme covers travel and accommodation costs for successful applicants of up to £4000.

Applicants should complete an expression of interest after securing a host sponsor School.  The deadline for applications for the current academic year is Friday 6 December 2024.

Selected Fellows will be required to make a formal application under the University’s Visiting Titles process.

*longer stays may be negotiated, though this would be on a self-funded basis
