HLA IN CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGEMENT

The HLA in Construction Project Management is a unique work-study program designed for those already working or holding a firm job offer in the construction sector. You will spend four days a week working with your employer and 1 day a week studying at Queen’s.

Ideal candidates come from diverse roles within the industry, including civil engineering, architecture, planning, commercial management, environmental management, and more. This program is suitable for individuals at any stage in their career, with many participants joining after years of professional experience.

What You Will Learn

This course hones the intellectual, practical, and professional skills required to excel in managing construction projects. You'll develop a holistic approach to planning, monitoring, and controlling projects by integrating technical knowledge in design, engineering, and construction with critical skills in finance, law, IT, and business administration.

Core areas of study include construction economics, strategic management, construction law, and international markets. The focus on project management principles, including effective time management, problem-solving, and sustainability awareness, ensures that graduates are prepared for success across various industries, not only in construction.
