- Computational tools for research, e.g. how to use NVivo to analyse qualitative data, how to perform descriptive and inferential statistical tests with SPSS, and how to analyse language in context with corpus tools

- Provides support and instruction in speaking, reading, and writing to international postgraduate research (PGR) students in the faculty.
- Offers students the opportunity to have one-to-one sessions, face-to-face or on teams to discuss their writing, preparing for a presentation and their Annual Progress Review.
- Provides small group workshops and speaking classes.
- Develops self-study materials which are available on Canvas, specially tailored to the needs of international PGR students in MHLS.
