BE PART OF A ONCE-IN-A-GENERATION OPPORTUNITY
Supporting Northern Ireland's economic vision for a decade of innovation
Northern Ireland is a global engineering powerhouse, and we are dedicated to ensuring it stays that way. With a proud heritage in shipbuilding, linen production and rope making, today we are world leaders in cyber security, fintech and advanced manufacturing. But it doesn't stop there.
Queen's University Belfast has been instrumental in this success, educating a skilled workforce and pioneering engineering breakthroughs since 1845. Now, more than ever, we are dedicated to shaping the future of engineering in this country, by supporting tomorrow’s inspiring engineers and offering them unparalleled access to groundbreaking technological advancements.
Join us in defining the next decade, where innovation meets opportunity, and a 10x Economy becomes a reality.

There is a palpable change in how Northern Ireland is being viewed both locally and on a global stage and the 10X Economy aims to capitalise on this.
Henry Brothers, have been awarded the £30m contract to construct the 10,500m² Factory of the Future building at Global Point Business Park in Newtownabbey which is estimated to create 1,500 new jobs.
“The £100m investment shows the commitment that exists within Queen’s and the Belfast Region City Deal to collaborate with industry partners in order to unlock innovation within our region. AMIC will play a key role in the realisation of the 10x vision for our economy, by driving growth through innovation.”
- Mike Brennan, Permanent Secretary of the Department for the Economy

Researchers from Queen’s University Belfast are part of a £33 million UK Government innovation grant to develop zero-emissions ferries in Belfast over the next four years.
“When we launched Artemis Technologies, we decided to base ourselves in Belfast because of the incredible aerospace and composite engineering talent available. Belfast’s local expertise coupled with the city’s rich shipbuilding heritage, and our own America’s Cup yacht design experience, will ensure Belfast is the global lead in zero emissions maritime technology."
- Iain Percy OBE of Artemis Technologies

Researchers from Queen’s, in collaboration with Wrightbus have developed best-in-class low and zero-emissions technologies playing a key role in decarbonising UK and international public transport.
“This modelling architecture has been integral to the development of our flagship hybrid electric vehicles, the StreetLite and StreetDeck Next Generation Hybrid buses, supporting the design of the overall system configuration, component sizing, as well as the “on vehicle” control system.”
- Director of Engineering for Wrightbus
