Amazing student experience
There are over 200 student-led clubs and societies on campus; while a £20 million sports investment has helped establish our reputation as one of the premier sporting universities in the UK and Ireland.
We’re a university that prioritises academic excellence and is dedicated to helping you discover your potential.
Find out more about studying in Queen's, book a campus tour or get advice from our staff and students.
We offer fantastic scholarships to students from England, Scotland, Wales, the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.
Unlike many scholarships from other Russell Group Universities, ours isn’t means tested or restricted to straight A students. If you meet the conditions of your offer – whatever the grades – you could be eligible for a fee reduction plus other benefits.
The scholarship is automatically awarded to students who meet the criteria and includes the opportunity to receive an annual £2,500* per year off your fees.
Northern Ireland has thelowest student living costs in the UK. (Save the Student National Student Money Survey 2023)
£174 per month cheaper for student living costs in Northern Ireland compared to the UK average (Save the Student National Student Money Survey 2023)
Opportunities for work placements, industry-led programmes and ground breaking research projects. 91% of Queen’s graduates are in employment or further study 15 months after graduation (HESA Graduate Outcomes, 2021/22).
Belfast is just an hour’s flight time away from most major UK cities - less time than it would take you to travel by road or train to many other UK universities.
Belfast is very student-orientated; there are regularly student discounts. With the GB scholarship, I’m saving just under £2,000 per year. The people at Queen's and Northern Ireland in general are extremely friendly and genuine.
