The logo, created by GreenlandDesign.org, is inspired by the cutting-edge, wide-ranging and international work that is carried out by the department, and is based on the physical mapping of CDDA collaboration and conference participation. Belfast, in grey, acts as a hub, with partner institutions and conference venues located on a Robinson-projected world map. Different colours represent different continental groups.
