Educational Aims Of Programme
To offer students a specialised knowledge and understanding of climate change from multiple perspectives, ranging from climate science and mitigation to the connections between climate change and human culture. To develop critical and practical analytical skills across various aspects of climate change, including climate modelling and a range of other quantitative and qualitative methods. To develop transferable skills including literacy, numeracy, computing, teamwork and leadership. To develop independent research skills in chosen specialised aspects of climate change during summer research projects. To enhance employability through careers training and networking with employers in the environmental and sustainability sector, helping prepare students for a wide variety of careers and pathways for further study.
