Academic Writing for Publication

Date:  29 April 2016        NOTE: this session has been cancelled but may be rescheduled for later this academic year.

Time:  9.30 am - 1.00 pm

16 participants maximum

Aimed at: Academic staff

Aims:  The aim of this session is to assist participants in the preparation of their teaching and learning focused writing for publication.  Specific consideration will be given to the writing and publication process for AISHE-J, and will be relevant to similar publications.

Content:  The workshop is designed as a practical and interactive session.  Participants are requested to bring along a piece of work in progress - this can be anything from the outline of an idea to a draft paper.  This will serve as the basis for individual participation.  The session will offer opportunities to discuss what editors are looking for in a paper, and will include practical exercises for developing a piece of writing towards publication.

By the end of the session, you can expect to have moved your idea/outline/draft forward towards publication.

Registration is via Queen’s Online (In the navigation under My Services, select Other, then Training Courses).
