Queen’s University Belfast has been awarded the largest single investment of the 22 projects in the Belfast Region City Deal (BRCD) portfolio, with a total value of £180m.
This investment positions the University as the key partner delivering City Deal generated economic growth and societal benefit.
Belfast Region City Deal projects at Queen’s are central to delivering our Strategy 2030, Social and Civic Responsibility, and Economic Prosperity.
The Belfast Region City Deal is one of four City and Growth Deals in Northern Ireland. Queen’s is working with the range of partnerships to shape complementary projects and drive connected innovation ecosystems in key sectors for economic growth.
The three University projects are:
- Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre (AMIC)
- Institute of Research Excellence for Advanced Clinical Healthcare (iREACH Health)
- Momentum One Zero (M1.0)
The Belfast Region City Deal Capital Programme team is headed up by Colm Lavery and is responsible for the successful delivery of the new buildings. The team consists of a Senior Programme Manager, three Estates Managers and an Administrative Assistant.
