Parking space for vehicles within the University and its car parks is limited and unfortunately it is not possible for the University to meet all the parking needs of staff and visitors.
The University issues car parking permits for a number of parking areas around the campus. The demand for car parking exceeds the provision and the permits are issued annually, subject to the payment of a fee.
The parking system for annual permits is currently not available. It is anticipated that it will be operational mid-late November 2024.
Visitor parking is still available. Please see Visitor Parking section below where you will find a link to the User Guide.
Please log into Queen's Online to access the car parking system.

Queen's is committed to improving its environmental performance and fundamentally changing the way it works so that it becomes an environmentally sustainable low carbon organisation. This commitment is underpinned by the University Travel Plan, a key aim of which is to reduce the impact of University related traffic on the environment and the local community.
Car travel by staff to and from the University inevitably produces significant levels of CO2 and our banded charging system is one of a number of measures designed to raise awareness of sustainable travel and to encourage staff to adopt alternatives to single-occupancy car journeys.
The cost of car parking is based on the amount of carbon dioxide (CO2) produced by individual staff vehicles. Staff who own vehicles which produce low levels of CO2 pay less for their annual permit than staff who drive vehicles that produce greater levels of CO2.
Charges are based on the Driver Vehicle Agency (DVA) tax and CO2 emissions bands, as shown in the table below (the vehicle tax cost is shown for information only), which have been grouped into six categories. The charge for part-time staff is half of the full-time rate.
