Mandatory Learning

A number of online learning courses are essential to complete. These are available to all staff via Queen’s Online. These are important for a number of reasons:

• In order to ensure employees and the University are compliant with some legislative requirements
• to meet essential business requirements
• to develop social aspects of sustainability (e.g. 'Unconscious Bias', 'Think Different. Act Differently')
• as a matter of good practice.

Some just need to be completed once, while others have fixed-term validity and need to be renewed. The range of essential online courses is updated from time to time. Staff will be reminded of their responsibilities to complete these or if any new courses are added. The ‘Courses and Requirements’ status report is visible via Queen’s Online and indicates completion via a green symbol or an outstanding course via a red X.
