Service Description
Library Services provides a variety of environments in which it is pleasant and safe to work and study. Library staff are approachable, helpful, efficient and knowledgeable. The Library is committed to placing library users at the heart of Library Services and acting on feedback.
The Library has achieved Customer Service Excellence Accreditation and is using this standard as a driver for continuous improvement throughout our services and to validate what we already do.
Students and staff of Queen’s University Belfast are automatically members of the Library. Members of the pubic over the age of 18 and resident in Northern Ireland can apply for Library Membership.
Any member of the public can use the Medical and Biomedical Library for reference and study purposes without prior registration. Members are required to use the Queen’s staff, student or library card to gain access to the McClay Library. Queen's Medical and HSC Library provides a service to staff and students of the University, particularly those in the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences. It also provides a service for Health and Social Care (HSC) staff throughout Northern Ireland.

- Provide a Noise Alert service in the McClay Library during Critical Service Periods
