Queen's University Medical Library provides a service to staff and students of the University, especially those studying or working in medicine, dentistry and nursing & midwifery.
Additionally it is the central library for Health and Social Care (HSC) staff in Northern Ireland. Information and resources for HSC staff are available via The Healthcare Library of Northern Ireland website.
The Medical Library is on the ground floor of the Mulhouse Building on the Royal Victoria Hospital site.
How to get There
It is a 15-20 minute walk from the Medical Biology Centre/Belfast City Hospital. Simply exit the hospital at the Donegall Road, walk along the Donegall Road, turn down Roden Street, cross the footbridge over the Westlink and Mulhouse Building will be in front of you at top of Mulhouse Road. As usual, when walking in a city environment, take common sense precautions, such as not walking alone, particularly after dark and being aware of what is going on around you.
A free shuttle minibus runs regularly between Belfast City Hospital and the Royal Victoria Hospital during normal working hours, e.g. from around 7:40am - 5pm. Please note you must display your QUB student/staff card to avail of this service.
Alternatively you can catch the 95 Metro service to the Royal Victoria Hospital from the city centre or the 80/81 Metro service, which stops on the Grosvenor Road near the Royal Victoria Hospital entrance.
