The Library’s Law and Official Publications collections in print are held on Floor 2 of The McClay Library. The entrance to the collections is beside the Floor 2 Enquiry Desk.
The official publications collections consist chiefly of British Parliamentary Papers, and acts as a repository for Northern Ireland official publications. In addition, it holds published output from the governments of the Republic of Ireland, Canada and South Africa and a number of international bodies including the Council of Europe. European Union, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development and the United Nations along with a range of its specialist agencies. Official Publications in print have classmarks in the range of JY - JZ.
The law collections include extensive collections of English and Irish law reports and a wide range of law journals. Law reports and journals are classified at K.
With the move to electronic format, most of the materials are now produced online and are available through a number of databases. Staff at the Floor 2 Enquiry Desk are available to help you make best use of these print collections and can also help you find law and official publications online.
