Active Student Membership of a Professional Body

Qualifying students are required to actively engage in professional development. This includes applying for and being accepted as a student member of a recognised professional body; and engaging through a combination of personal reading of relevant publications/online resources and participating in professional body events.
In order to be awarded Combined Route accreditation, the student must present evidence of membership and active engagement e.g. a signed Learning Log, letter or other appropriate confirmation from the relevant professional body that equates to a total of at least 12 hours.
Examples of Professional Bodies offering Student Membership include:
Institute of Directors (IoD)
Institute of Civil Engineers (ICE)
Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI)
General Dental Council (GDC)
