The activity is a co-design exercise to deliver part of the Open Botanic Street Festival, in collaboration with Forward South Partnership. The purpose of the project is to test the possibility of pedestrianisation of Botanic Avenue, not only as a tool for developing a more sustainable future through active travel, but also to engage significantly with local residents, business owners and tenants to involve them in the whole process of the transformation of their high street. The students spend 30 hours during the summer running workshops with local residents and co-designing 4 to 6 kiosks.
