QUB Mooting
Activity Overview
Level of StudyUndergraduate, Postgraduate Taught/Masters, Postgraduate Research
Award TypeSingle Route
Mooting is a legal debate where students research and present the case for one of the parties to a hypothetical case in either the Court of Appeal or the Supreme Court. Mooters have to research the law relevant to the case, draft a skeleton argument of the main points of their client’s case, and then engage in an oral argument before a senior lawyer who acts as the judge.
