The SMDBS Summer Student programme provides an opportunity for undergraduate students from QUB and beyond to complete an 8-week research programme in one of 3 research (WWIEM, PGJCCR, CPH) or 3 education (CME, CDE, CBMSE) centres in the School. Students apply for places, are selected on a competitive basis, and engage in basic research related to biomedicine, education or related. At the end of the project, students deliver a short presentation on their project with their peers, and these talks are assessed by members of academic staff. Students have the opportunity to attend weekly seminars in the various centres, and also to interact with PhD students, PDRAs and other members of staff.
