The USA Placement Programme enables undergraduate students in Biomedical Sciences/Human Biology, following completion of year 2, to take a placement year at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Placement students work as research assistants within dynamic research teams, supervised by an international leading academic.  Full training is provided, and students conduct experiments that contribute to ongoing research projects in their supervisor’s laboratory.

Students have described the placement year as an amazing experience that benefited their personal development, in addition to equipping them for their final year project back in Queen’s.  It is also a unique opportunity to gaining first-hand experience of a career in academic research.
