Volunteering (General)
Activity Overview
Level of StudyUndergraduate, Postgraduate Taught/Masters, Postgraduate Research
Award TypeCombined Route
Volunteering enables you to develop new skills, improve your confidence, meet new people and enhance your employability & wellbeing, all whilst you make a positive change to the world around you.
If you are currently volunteering within Queen’s or with an external organisation and have completed at least 12 hours of your role, you can allocate this as one of your extra-curricular activities towards the Combined Route Future-Ready Award. To verify your volunteering you can register for Prestige Volunteers, which gives you access to a record book where you can log your hours of volunteering (and claim certificates evidencing 50, 100 and 200 hours of volunteering). If you have achieved a 50 hour certificate, you can use this as verification. Alternatively, you can supply your Prestige Volunteers logbook along with an email or letter of verification of your volunteering hours from your volunteer co-ordinator / supervisor.
