ABOUT US
Queen’s University Belfast welcomes and encourages applications from students of all backgrounds
At Queen’s University Belfast, we are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for everyone. We want all students to have equal access to everything our university has to offer.
We encourage students with disabilities, long-term conditions, or a working diagnosis to connect with our dedicated Accessible Learning Support Team. We’re here to explore possible supports and reasonable adjustments to help you succeed in your studies and university life.
For students who are already supported by Accessible Learning Support (formerly Disability Services) and already have an ISSA in place, your in-course supports will remain unchanged and will be reinstated for the new academic year. However, you need to let us know if you have changed course or pathway to ensure that your new School will receive a copy of your ISSA.
If there has been a significant change in your condition(s) or you have been diagnosed with a new condition, please contact Accessible Learning Support at accessiblelearning@qub.ac.uk to arrange a reassessment.
If you were previously supported by Accessible Learning Support as an undergraduate and are returning to complete a postgraduate course, you will need to contact the service to request a new support agreement by completing an online 'Get Started' Questionnaire. You will then be offered a reassessment.
The Wellbeing & Accessible Learning drop-in service runs Monday to Friday, 11am - 3pm on Level 1, One Elmwood. Here, we can provide advice and guidance on whatever it may be that is worrying you.
