Internship opportunities related to Biomedical Science and Human Biology
- Cancer Research provides some summer placement opportunities for undergraduates with their Beatson Institute and the Francis Crick Institute - Applications usually open around January-March.
- IAESTE - paid work experience abroad for students of Science, Technology and Applied Arts in 2nd year and above. Placements related to degree programme. Application deadline is in autumn.

- Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute Summer Placements and Wellcome Trust Vacation Scholarships provide ‘promising’ undergraduates with ‘hands-on’ research experience during the summer vacation – to encourage them to consider a career in research. Applicants must be in the middle year of a science degree

- The Genetics Society - grants to support undergraduate summer research experience or research projects.

Internship opportunities related to areas other than Biomedical Science and Human Biology
- Large companies in other sectors may offer year-long placements and summer internships to students of any degree discipline.
