For three decades, the Washington Ireland Program WIP has played an important role in post-conflict Northern Ireland and Ireland by bringing together leaders from a wide range of communities and backgrounds for outstanding leadership and skills-development programs.
The Washington Ireland Program (WIP) inspires and develops promising leaders through a program of personal development, policy debate and community service.
The opportunity provides students with the chance to access 8 weeks of living in Washington D.C., staying with one of our welcoming host families, exclusive work placements, inspiring charity and community project service visits and an educational trip to New York City to conclude the program.
