Go Global Week

Once a year we host Go Global Week in October where we run a series of in-person workshops, where you get to chat to organisations that can offer you an experience of a lifetime to study, work or volunteer abroad during your degree.
The highlight of Go Global Week is our Go Global Fair which will take place on Wednesday 9 October 2024, from 12 - 3pm in the Mandela Hall, One Elmwood.

Events held during Go Global Week
The Go Global Fair is the highlight event of Go Global Week, where we will also hold a series of in-person workshops, where you get to chat to organisations that can offer you an experience of a lifetime to study, work or volunteer abroad during your degree.
The Go Global Fair will be held on Wednesday 09 October 2024 12-3pm in Mandela Hall in One Elmwood.
Are you an international student studying at Queen's?
Would you like to enhance your degree with further international experience?
This session will explore programmes that international students can apply to, including the University Exchange Programme, Utrecht Summer School, European Study Exchange and others.
The session will also provide information on available funding to support international opportunities.
Are you interested in spending between 1-52 weeks studying or working in Australia, Canada or the US?
This information session will provide an overview of the study and work opportunities in these countries. For example, University Exchange Programmes in Canada, Washington Ireland Programme, Project Children - USA internships, J1 Visas and Summer camps in America.
The session will also provide information on funding that is available to take up international opportunities.
Want to expand your horizons without extending your degree?
If immersing yourself in a new culture and boosting your CV in just a few weeks is your cup of tea, join us as we share the key information you need. Think Pacific virtual internships and the Queen's Global Leadership Programme are just a few of the many options we will share with you.

Are you interested in spending a year studying in the USA through a generous scholarship programme?
This information session will provide an overview of the Study USA Programme, eligibility criteria and application process.
The Study USA programme is run by the British Council Northern Ireland and involves one academic year studying at a US university or college.
Approximately 50 places are available at institutions from Florida to Montana or Washington to North Carolina.
Applications open to students in their second year of study from any discipline in September 2024, for participation in the programme the following academic year.

Interested in experiencing Europe?
Come along to learn about study and work opportunities across the continent.
We’ll cover areas such as European Study Exchange, funding for European work placements and the Utrecht Summer School – pointing out the all important deadlines and how to apply.

Francesca spent a year on the Study USA programme at DeSales University, Pennsylvania and has returned to Queen's to complete her studies to the LLB Law undergraduate qualification.

Lili participated in the Queen's Global Leadership Programme which included a week in Boston, Massachusetts and has returned to finish studying towards a Business Management degree.

Rob studies International Relations and Conflict Studies and as part of his undergraduate qualification went on a European study exchange at Lund University in Sweden.

Mariquita has recently completed a Think Pacific virtual internship and spent time at the Utrecht Summer School. Mariquita continues studying towards an undergraduate qualification in International Relations and Politics.

David has just returned from European study exchange at Universidad de Salamanca where he spent a year studying Law with Spanish and has returned to complete his studies.
