Challenges set in the real world of work

Tackle a real-world problem, then persuade the experts, while developing key employability skills in the process.

Our challenge for 2024 is our Real-World Challenge: Climate Change which will take  place at PwC’s Belfast office on 20 February 2025.

Real World Challenge Climate Change Details

20 February 2025 9.30am - 4.30pm 

Location: PwC, Merchant Square, 20 Wellington Place, Belfast

During this full-day session, you will tackle climate change with 70 of your peers from several Queen’s schools, reviewing how industry leaders can use the ecological crisis to inform decision-making and prompt action.

This is an exciting opportunity to hear from industry experts and join a team to tackle this real-world problem and persuade the experts with your outcomes – all while developing key employability skills!

This programme is open to students from all disciplines and will give you the opportunity to: 

  • Make a difference and effect real-world change 
  • Consult with experts and change your perceptions 
  • Interact with a diverse range of employers and students
  • Boost your CV with team-working and problem-solving skills

Real World Challenge Climate Change Highlights

For our Real-World Challenge we tackle climate change and looking at how industry leaders can use the ecological crisis to inform decision-making and prompt action.

Last year's programme also took place in PwC’s Belfast office, where students joined a team to tackle this real-world problem, then persuaded the experts – all while developing key employability skills in the process!
