In 2025 the Queen’s Careers, Employability and Skills are delivering a Spotlight on Life Science Tour for students in the Medicine, Health and Life Science Faculty, (students registered for undergraduate degrees in Biochemistry, Microbiology, Biomedical, Biological and Pharmaceutical Sciences or Pharmaceutical Biotechnology).  

The two-day programme will take place on on Monday 19 and Tuesday 20 May 2025. Students who secure a place will have the opportunity to visit a number of our most innovative local scientific employers.

Our intention is to help students on the tour to better understand the wealth of potential careers areas that exist within this dynamic area, those that are lab and non-lab based.

On this tour participants will;

• Visit employers at their R and D and manufacturing locations – find out what science is taking place and how.
• Network with recent graduates and Queen’s alumni.
• Get tips from recruiters on getting hired.
• Find out about summer internships, placements and graduate opportunities.

All students applying must be available to attend an information session on Monday 12 May, 12-2pm, The Cube, One Elmwood. 

• There is no charge for this tour.
• All sections of the application form must be fully complete, within the word count and have accurate spelling and grammar; otherwise, marks will be deducted accordingly.
