Recruit our Students

The flagship Careers fairs at Queen’s remain the most popular and effective way to engage with top student and graduate talent directly on campus, offering maximum exposure for your brand and opportunities.

Taking place in our prestigious venues at the heart of the campus, the flagship muti-disciplinary fairs attract a wide range of students, and are an ideal opportunity for organisations, with multiple recruitment requirements to connect with potential new hires.

Autumn Careers Fair

The annual Autumn Careers Fair took place on Tuesday 15 and Wednesday 16 October 2024 across three campus venues: Whitla Hall, South Dining, and Mandela.

Over 170 organisations took part in the event with an extensive waitlist for more spaces.

Over 3,500 students attended the event across the two days and this resulted in networking opportunities and valuable connections between businesses and their future leaders.

We would like to thank all the team involved including staff, students and employers in making this event a great success.

Maximising Impact at Our Fairs

From completion of your booking form to the interactions your team have on fair day, every student touch point is an opportunity to attract new talent to your company.

Each Careers Fair has its own promotional area on MyFuture, our online recruitment management portal.  Students can view employer profiles and connected job opportunities, either online or through the MyFuture app, helping them to identify who to visit on the day.

Making the most of your fair profile, is just as important, as the branding and merch on your physical stall, when it comes to creating the right impression.

Here are our top tips for making an impact at fairs:

  1. Book early – the fairs sell out within a few weeks of release
  2. Take time to personalise your employer fair profile – add images and videos to stand out
  3. Add your live job vacancies to MyFuture – ensuring they are linked to your Fair profile
  4. Prepare your fair team - everyone on your stand should be able to talk knowledgeably about your recruitment practices
  5. Make the most of your stall space – be attractive, be inviting and be accessible
  6. Have a call to action ready to share with student visitors
