Direct student engagement opportunities

The Employer Engagement team at Queen’s University Belfast facilitates a suite of direct student engagement opportunities throughout the academic year, and also provides access for communication and promotion of your brand.

For high volume employers this represents a key support for your early talent acquisition and promotional strategies.

Careers Fairs

Careers Fairs are multi-disciplinary, high-profile, signature events within the Queen’s academic calendar.

They provide the opportunity to chat with students in-person about your graduate, placement and work experience opportunities.

Careers fairs taking place in the 2024/2025 academic year are:

  • Autumn Careers Fair: 15 & 16 October 2024
  • Spring Careers Fair: 5 February 2025
  • Northern Ireland Graduate & Placement Fair: 4 June 2025

Events and Pop Ups

Additional presence and connection opportunities are facilitated via employer ‘Pop-Ups’ in key campus locations, as well as employer recruitment events hosted in ‘The Cube’, a prime venue within the One Elmwood Student Centre.

We have a range of opportunities available to employers to help better engage with our student audience on social media.

Targeted Emails

Ensure maximum exposure to relevant student groups by sending targeted emails through MyFuture.

You can target students by year and School to increase applications for current roles or to boost attendance at your campus event.

Targeted emails cost £60+vat per School per year group.

Employers are permitted to send up to two emails to the same group of students, each semester.

Sponsorship

A range of sponsorship opportunities are available with the Employer Engagement Team offering extensive student brand exposure and benefits, including sponsorship of the prestigious University wide Careers Fairs.

Relationship Management

For employers requiring a more substantial engagement plan we operate a Relationship Management service to help you develop and manage your engagement and recruitment activities on campus.

You will be assigned one of our experienced Relationship Managers to assist you in developing a tailored engagement programme to help you better connect and engage with our talented students and graduates.
