What is MyFuture?

MyFuture is Queen's Careers management platform

MyFuture is the University’s online recruitment management tool, available free of charge to employers seeking to promote jobs and opportunities directly to Queen’s students.

The platform is accessible by all students, acting as the bridge from study to future employment, and is an ideal, easy way to get direct engagement as part of your student and graduate talent acquisition strategy.

Employers can utilise the MyFuture platform to:

  • Post job vacancies
  • Review student applications
  • Elevate brand awareness to students
  • Register for careers fairs
  • Promote attraction events
  • Stay up to date with related university news

Maximise Your Engagement on MyFuture

You can self-manage your MyFuture profile which represents an excellent brand engagement opportunity, acting as a virtual shop window to entice students into finding out more about your organisation and available job roles.

Here are five top tips to maximising engagement with your online profile:

  1. Spend some time crafting the perfect profile
  2. Tailor your company overview for a student audience
  3. Utilise all the available media options – logo, images, video
  4. Use your video to promote your purpose, values and culture
  5. Update your profile regularly with fresh content

MyFuture is the ideal jobs board for targeting the student demographic directly with no costly fees or commission charges.

In advertising job roles, you can choose whether to receive student CVs/applications into your inbox from the system or to link the application process to your own website.

Organisations can promote on the following types of job roles to MyFuture:

  • Graduate – degree level roles
  • Placement Year (9-12 months) – full time roles, embedded in curriculum, student is an employee of the company for placement period
  • Internship (2-12 weeks) – typically extra-curricular and paid work experiences that take place over holiday periods
  • Short-Term / Insight Weeks (up to 1 week) ­– usually undertaken over a short period during the Easter break or summer, student gains knowledge and practical experience
  • Other (Non-Grad or Casual / Part-Time) – any paid position falling outside of other categories
  • Voluntary - any activity that involves spending time, unpaid, doing something that aims to benefit the environment or someone (individuals or groups) other than, or in addition to, close relatives.

Target Students Via MyFuture

MyFuture also facilitates targeting of specific student courses and year groups, as part of your active recruitment campaign with Queen’s, via our paid target emailer facility.

Targeted emails cost £60+vat per School per year group.

Employers are permitted to send up to two emails to the same group of students, each semester. 

Requests should be submitted 10 working days prior to anticipated email date.
