The Learning Development Service has a dedicated Teaching Team delivering academic skills support within taught undergraduate programmes at Queen's. Find out how we can work with you and your students below.
Our Offer
The LDS Teaching team works with academic staff in Schools to provide academic skills support to undergraduate students. We are interested in talking to module coordinators across all undergraduate levels to outline our wider offer and explore the right option for your module and students. The team can introduce you to Transition Skills for University, our new Canvas-based learning resources. These cover a range of academic skill areas and can be fully integrated into your School module(s) for ease of student accessibility. We can also join your selected Canvas module(s) and facilitate Canvas-based activities throughout the semester to encourage student engagement and promote independent learning. Collaborating directly with you, the Teaching team can also deliver academic skills workshops as part of your taught module arrangements.
This flexible offer is available to all Schools and undergraduate programmes. All of our School engagement work is underpinned by regular staff and student evaluation at module level and supported by continuous review processes so that we can update our practice and learning resources to best meet student learning requirements.
