The Mood Matters for Adults course is 2 hours long and is suitable for anyone (over 18) who would like to learn more about minding their mood. It can also help to manage feelings of stress & anxiety.
Wellbeing on Weekdays (WOW) events are based on the Public Health Agency's 'Take 5 Steps to Wellbeing': Connect, Keep Learning, Be Active, Take Notice, Give.
This event will focus on 'Keep Learning'.
This Wellbeing on Weekday (WOW) event is open to all students and encourages attendees to keep learning. This workshop will be lead by a facilitator from Aware NI and will provide participants with knowledge and skills which can be used to maintain or regain good mental health and build resilience to deal with life’s challenges. The programme is based on cognitive behavioural concepts and introduces the ‘Five Areas Approach’ which participants use to challenge and change unhelpful thinking and behaviour in order to make a positive difference to their lives.
It also features the ‘Take5 for Your Emotional Wellbeing’ which focuses on the five most evidenced ways of looking after our mental health i.e. Connect, Be Active, Take Notice, Keep Learning and Give and teaches us how we can build these into our everyday lives.
This session is free of charge and all staff and students are welcome.
This event is capped at 30 attendees. Registration is necessary and the link can be found here: https://gck.fm/milzc
