Licette Gus is an educational psychologist in the UK with over 20 years experience working for both local government authorities and independently in private practice.
Licette’s recent focus has been upon the development and promotion of Emotion Coaching in educational and community settings. Licette has delivered conference papers and key note speeches on Emotion Coaching at Professional Development Events nationally and internationally. Licette has been a guest presenter on the Applied Educational and Child Psychology Doctorate programme, University of Birmingham and the MA (SEMH) course at Oxford Brookes University. Licette has delivered Emotion Coaching training to schools, virtual schools, nurseries, Educational Psychology Services, CAMHS and Emotional Literacy Support Assistants groups across the UK and Europe.
Since 2016 Licette has organised and co-delivered the Emotion Coaching core training courses for Emotion Coaching UK. These have been attended by a wide variety of professionals coming from all over the UK but also internationally.
Licette has worked on a number of projects to introduce and develop use of Emotion Coaching in systems and everyday practice including: individual and groups of schools in the UK and also Public Health Commissioned Projects in Somerset and Northamptonshire. Licette is actively engaged in research applying Emotion Coaching in educational and community settings.
In order to support the dissemination of Emotion Coaching in educational settings, Licette has written for a wide variety of publications; these include, peer reviewed journals, magazines and books including co-authoring the seminal book about Emotion Coaching in educational settings*. Licette has written about how to use Emotion Coaching personally implement Emotion Coaching in Schools and the impact of Emotion Coaching on pupil, staff and family well-being.
As co-founder and director Emotion Coaching UK, Licette is involved with establishing and promoting communication links amongst the growing Emotion Coaching community within the UK and beyond. She also supports individual interests and development within the community notably via establishing and maintaining the Emotion Coaching Practitioner Trainers group.
