The word ‘dementia’ describes a group of symptoms that may include memory loss, difficulties with thinking, problem solving or language, and often changes in mood, perception or behaviour. Whilst dementia is not a normal part of the aging process, around 850,000 people in the UK today are living with dementia, therefore we may be called on to help support family, friends or neighbours.
Alzheimer's UK will deliver a dementia friendly communities workshop during this webinar, which will teach participants more about the conditions linked to dementia and equip them with the tools to help support people living with dementia.
This training course counts towards Handy Helpers Degree Plus Route A Award.
