This workshop will take participants through the basics of ideation and how it can extend to IP protection.
The session will cover:
- What is IP
- How to protect a new idea
- What types of IP protection exist
- Registered and Unregistered IP rights
- Why IP protection matters
Participants will be able to develop their knowledge and skills in identifying the various types of IP protection that is available to protect ideas and how you can go about in doing so
Audience: Early-stage researchers, PhD students, Research staff that are new to Queen’s, or anyone who may wish to gain awareness on the fundamentals of IP
